Bluetooth. Backup camera. TPMS. Seats that fold more ways than an Olympic gymnast.

But today I learned that it will not tell you when you’re low on wiper fluid. Wtf, Honda. Even our Hyundai could do that.

Oh, hey! My Accent has that function! When the wiper fluid is low, the indicator appears on either the front or rear windshield as a lack of moisture when activating the wipe/wash system!

I didn’t know any car would tell you that.

I’d like to mock the world for needing that information spoon-fed to them , but I suppose I’ve run out myself once or twice.

Oh, hey! My Miata has that function! When the wiper fluid is low, the windshield washer pump sounds an audible alarm when activating the wash system!

It's nice to ensure you don't run out while you're on the freeway in winter and every car is kicking road grime into your windshield. It's a little brutal to find out the old-fashioned way in that scenario.

Oh, hey! My Soul had that function! When it was low on fluid, it would stop leaking fluid!

I just got the low wiper fluid alert in my ‘16 Hyundai Veloster the other day. I didn’t know any car did that either, but it’s nice to know.

And then it proceeded to swallow the entire bottle of fluid I bought for it, except for the last quarter  cup. THAT seems like a design flaw.

Definitely. I just suspect the early adopters who hand-cranked their engines to start them wouldn’t feel a great deal of sympathy.

My Golf’s washer fluid sensor got confused by one too many bottles of RainX fluid, and just always said it was low...

I was today years old when I learned that some cars tell you when you’re low on washer fluid. I’m just happy if  my car’s windshield washing system works. I used to own a Honda Accord that required you to open the moonroof and pour water down your windshield if you wanted to clean it.

Almost entirely unrelated, but while we’re here anyway: one of the great aspects about being able to drop the windshield in a Wrangler is how easy it is to clean the inside of it.

When starting  your car can break your wrist, I suppose there's not much that would cause more concern

My 06 Focus does not do that, but it does take over a gallon of fluid, so it takes a long time to go empty.

My generation, yes, or at least it’s very close. JK and JL is curved, looks a bit more awkward when laying on the hood.

Having a flat windshield that I could easily squeegee is the kind of thing that makes my heart beat fast

My Ranger doesn’t have a level sensor, and it has a tiny reservoir ( 3 quarts) so I run it empty often.

My old Caravan had a sensor that turned on exactly when a full gallon jug could be poured in to the 1.5 gallon reservoir. So convenient.

I have to keep a squeegee next to the driver’s seat for the many rain days with the top off.

Well that's nice. I feel like most cars I've owned lately take .9 gallons before they overflow so you're stuck with this jug with an inch of fluid in the bottom.

Iirc even the Volvo 740 has a light for this. My 240 has a light for bulbs being out, which idk why other cars don’t have as well

My 850 had both. The light warning is especially handy for the rear lights that aren’t as noticeable from the driver's  seat.

The only car I ever had that would tell you it’s low wouldn’t tell you until the last drop was spraying on the windshield.

Spray, spray, sputter, “low washer fluid”...........Really? The fucking fluid not spraying anymore wasn’t enough of a sign!?!
